Sincerity and Total Efforts

A FRIEND SAYS THAT WE ARE ASKED TO PUT IN OUR 100% EFFORTS WHILE DOING A MEDITATION TECHNIQUE, TO DO IT WITH TOTALITY AND TO DO IT SINCERELY BUT THAT BECOMES REALLY TIRING. PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW WE WILL BE ABLE TO FEEL AND EXPERIENCE THE ENERGY WHEN WE ARE SO TIRED.

Your outer will get tired, the circumference will be tired and the center- in that contrast – will start appearing very clearly. Your body will get tired but the inner spiritual energy would appear more powerfully in this contrast.
For example while doing Tratak Meditation — Your eyes would refuse to watch anything outside as they would have got tired of doing meditation technique for half an hour in which you keep on watching at one point (or any object) without even blinking. Now what will happen? Your eyes would start closing by themselves. Now you would not have any desire to look at anything outside. Now you’ve got tired of watching a candle flame outside, now your eyes refuse
to travel outside. Now is the time to look inside and watch the light- the Divine Light inside.
When the outer sense organs get tired, the inner senses will be able to become active. For example when a person is riding on a horse, he forgets that he is different from that horse. When the horse will run fast he will think that he is running fast. But when the horse will get tired and will stop running, at that moment he would clearly realize that he is different from that horse. He would know that he is not the horse but the one who is riding. The linking would break. Something similar has happened with this body and the soul. The consciousness riding on this body has completely forgotten that it is consciousness. It relates itself as a body.

The consciousness realizes its separate identity clearly when the body gets completely exhausted. And this is accelerated in the meditation technique. The body is tired, the senses are tired and the inner consciousness the inner energy appears prominently. The contrast makes it more visible. Just like a black board on which we write with a white chalk. After tiring the body in an active meditation technique, we come to know clearly that the body is lying over there and I am somebody different from the body. Therefore in meditation techniques, the process of tiring the body and senses is also used for the de-linking purpose.
